Shoffner for Senate Raises More Than $250,000 One Week After Launch, Continues Grassroots Movement to Take on Tom Cotton

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Today, Hallie Shoffner for Senate announced raising more than $250,000 in just one week after launching her United States Senate campaign to take on Tom Cotton and deliver for the people of Arkansas.

“This campaign is about the real Arkansans that Tom Cotton forgot about a long time ago, the ones who have to work too hard to afford groceries that cost too much and spend too much time worrying about how to get by,” Shoffner said. “While Cotton takes millions from white glove Washington lobbyists, my campaign is fueled by the spare change real people can hardly afford to give, by their hearts, their hopes and their dreams. I wouldn’t have it any other way. And that’s why we are going to win.”

Born and raised in Newport, Arkansas, Hallie grew up on her family farm. She started working the fields with her dad when she was 10 years old, scouting cotton, irrigating rice and chopping weeds.

For the past nine years, she fought to keep the farm afloat. But like so many farmers, she found that after battling pests, floods and drought, the one thing she couldn’t overcome was the economy Tom Cotton has rigged against everyday Arkansans.

As the next United States Senator for the state of Arkansas, Hallie is laser-focused on restoring Medicaid and Social Security, bringing down costs for working families, fighting for farmers and growing the economy.
